Overview |
The Northern Border Pipeline connects natural gas reserves in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin with communities in the Midwestern U.S. Along the way, it also receives and transports U.S.-produced natural and synthetic natural gas. In addition to providing day-to-day energy for American families and businesses, it offers sustainable employment and contributes substantial tax revenues to local and state governments.
TransCanada operates Northern Border Pipeline and effectively owns 13.4 percent through its 28.8 percent interest in TC PipeLines, LP through a general partnership with ONEOK Partners, LP.

Regulatory
Northern Border Pipeline is governed according to regulations outlined by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). It is also subject to rules and regulations of the Department of Energy administered by the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, and the Environmental Protection Agency.

Documents and Maps
The North Baja Pipeline System is an 86 mile (138 km), bi-directional natural gas pipeline operating between Arizona, California, and Mexico.
The pipeline starts near Ehrenberg, Ariz., and ends near Ogilby, Calif., where it connects with a pipeline in Mexico. It also has a lateral that delivers gas to an electric generating facility in Yuma, Ariz.
